John Murrow, Trailhead Media’s Chief Operating Officer since the company’s earliest days, was named CEO effective May 1, 2025, succeeding Randy Otto.
A Leader Who Grew With the Company
Murrow has been part of Trailhead Media’s story from the start, having led operations and real estate through the company’s rapid run of acquisitions since 2020. Read more about Trailhead’s leadership on the Team page. His appointment to CEO marked a transition to leadership by someone who helped build the network from the ground up.
Randy Otto, who led Trailhead Media as President and CEO since 2022, transitioned to Senior Advisor to the President, continuing to support the company through the leadership change.
Under Murrow, Trailhead Media has continued to grow its footprint, now standing at 44 acquisitions and more than 3,100 billboard faces — including over 300 digital displays — across nine Southeast states.
