Trailhead Media expanded its Tennessee and northern Georgia footprint in early 2023 with the acquisition of Billboards for Education, adding 18 billboard faces — 12 digital and 6 static — to its network.
A Tuck-In Acquisition
The structures, previously owned by Matt Richman, fit directly alongside Trailhead’s existing inventory in those markets. CEO Randy Otto called it “a perfect tuck-in to our existing inventory in those markets,” noting Richman had “built a great plant in Tennessee and northern Georgia including some nice digital billboards.”
The deal brought Trailhead’s total portfolio to roughly 3,306 faces, including 236 digital displays, continuing a growth strategy focused on acquisitions adjoining the company’s existing footprint across Georgia, Alabama, northwest Florida, Mississippi, Louisiana, Tennessee, and Kentucky.
